Waste Reduction Workshop for Businesses

All Fort Worth businesses are invited to participate in this virtual workshop about reducing waste to save money and be more adaptable, featuring City of Fort Worth Material Management Planners Brittany Rosenberg and Mashaal Atif.

This workshop is interactive! Be prepared to share your problems, possibilities, and concerns. Businesses of all size and industry welcome.

From Waste to Worth: The Limitless Frontier of Byproducts

As new tech is developed to make new products and lighter, more efficient packaging, new byproducts are also created – a feedstock is born. New feedstocks require new methods for processing and innovation, which will lead to new byproducts and new opportunities. City of Fort Worth Material Management Planners Brittany Rosenberg and Mashaal Atif will discuss the growing opportunities for entrepreneurs in the waste industry.

This workshop is interactive! Attendees are encouraged to bring their own programs, problems, and ideas for discussion.

This presentation is part of both Global Entrepreneurship Week and Fort Worth Recycles Day 2020.

Town Hall: America's Recycling Landscape Today
Thurs Nov 19 at 1:00 p.m. (1.5 hours)

EPA will host a recycling Town Hall with a panel of experts - featuring Fort Worth's own Robert Smouse - discussing the recycling landscape from a municipal, regional, and nationwide perspective. The discussion will include recycling feedstock contamination, environmental education for consumers, how to increase resiliency in recycling systems, improving infrastructure, improving domestic markets, and so much more! A special message from EPA's Region 6 Administrator, Ken McQueen, will also be included.


re:3D Houston Warehouse Tour!
Fri Nov 20 at 12:00 p.m. (1 hour)

Get inspired with this behind-the-scenes tour of cutting-edge 3D printing technology, including re:3D's Gigabot X which can 3D print new projects from shredded plastic waste.
