SEPTEMBER

Time to talk about:

Batteries & HDPE

NO BATTERIES

Batteries are not recyclable at a typical facility and are a major hazard if put in with other recyclables.

Batteries can be recycled for free by dropping them off at a Call2Recycle partner location.

ASSETS TO SHARE

The below graphics from Time to Recycle are ready to share as is. Click to download.

HDPE

High density polyethylene plastic (HDPE) is a highly durable, desirable plastic for recycling.

It’s used for bulky items like milk jugs and laundry detergent containers and can be recycled into flower pots, shampoo bottles and even recycling bins.

As always, recyclables should be empty, clean and dry when they go into the bin. Liquids left in plastic like HDPE can ruin the value of other recyclables like paper, cardboard and metals.
